The Koehler Center provides teaching and learning support to the TCU community though a variety of events that are open to the TCU community.
These events include workshops and training opportunities led by Koehler Center staff, workshops and training opportunities led by faculty and other members of the TCU community, orientations for faculty who are new to TCU, and special events with invited guest speakers.
Current Events
The Koehler Center offers regular events focused on responding to the present needs of instructors and keeping the TCU community informed of new educational possibilities. Such events are intended to promote evidence-based teaching principles and practices, as well as the thoughtful and intentional use of educational technology.

Campus Connections Workshops are organized and promoted by the Koehler Center, but they are developed and led by TCU faculty and staff to provide opportunities to connect with colleagues across campus.

Faculty-Led Workshop Series
Each semester the Koehler Center partners with faculty to support Faculty-Led Workshops. These are events organized and promoted by the Koehler Center, but they are developed and led by TCU faculty to help enrich the TCU community. There are two types of events: Teaching and Learning Conversations (TLCs) and Pedagogy in Practice Workshops (PinPs).

New to TCU Faculty Orientation
New to TCU Faculty Orientation welcomes new full-time and adjunct faculty to the TCU community of scholars. During orientation, faculty learn about the services and resources related to their careers as TCU teacher-scholars. Faculty will become familiar with the TCU student population, as well as TCU’s culture and community. This event will focus on immediately applicable advice about succeeding as TCU faculty member.
