What is Faculty Open Lab?
The Faculty Open Lab is a place for faculty to drop in—no appointment necessary—and work with Koehler Center staff. We’ll be there to offer support for all teaching and learning concerns. If you’re curious about new pedagogical strategies to encourage active, engaged learning, come to Open Lab! If you’d like help with our Learning Management System, come to Open Lab! If you’d just like to get some work done on a new teaching project within earshot of someone who can offer support, come to Open Lab!
Who can attend Faculty Open Lab?
Faculty Open Lab is available to any faculty member, staff member, or graduate student teaching at TCU. This is a free development opportunity the Koehler Center provides to the TCU teaching community.
How will Faculty Open Lab benefit me?
Faculty Open Lab provides TCU educators with an opportunity to have a one-to-one discussion with the Koehler staff about teaching and learning. Faculty may also use Faculty Open Lab as a time to work on course content in a quiet environment with assistance from the Koehler staff as needed.
How do I register for Faculty Open Lab?
No registration is required for Faculty Open Lab. You can “drop in” during any of the scheduled times. You can view Faculty Open Lab dates on our workshop page.
