The Koehler Center provides several course planning and design resources to faculty as they prepare for teaching accelerated online courses during wintersession.

Resources to use before your course begins

eFaculty 2.0 Workshops and Certification

  • As part of in-house quality assurance, online workshops, guidelines, and trainings are made available for our online faculty as they prepare to teach online. Faculty teaching online courses are required to complete the requisite eFaculty 2.0 workshops and receive e-certification prior to their course going live.

Accelerated Online Resource Coursesnowflakes

  • This is a resource bank full of resources you can use while planning and designing your online courses, especially accelerated courses. This self-paced workshop includes resources like course mapping documents, organization tables, and activity ideas for engaging students during synchronous class meetings.
  • Additionally, you have the option of using the Accelerated Online Course Template, which is a template broken into daily modules, which are recommended for intersession courses due to the fast-paced nature of these course. (The Resource Course provides an overview of the template and how to request it!)

Virtual Lab Appointments

  • Virtual lab appointments are tailored to your needs and are ideal for exploring questions about D2L tools, course design consultations, or course reviews prior to your course going live.
