Experiential Learning (Internship) State Authorization & Reporting

The Koehler Center oversees TCU’s  participation in the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA), allowing students to complete Experiential Learning Placements (e.g., internships, clinicals, practicums, clerkships, student teaching, rotations, and other on-the-ground supervised learning/ field experiences) in other states than Texas, with some limitations. The Koehler Center reports an accurate state-by-state count for NC-SARA each spring.

Professional Licensure

TCU is obligated to make “every reasonable effort” programs follow SARA and Federal regulation requirements in Texas. Students should confirm requirements in their home state. TCU is unable to guarantee that program requirements are met in any other state other than Texas. The Koehler Center is responsible for reporting licensure data to NC-SARA each spring.

Online Learning Consortium (OLC) Membership

TCU is an institutional member of the Online Learning Consortium (OLC). The OLC is a collaborative dedicated to advancing quality digital teaching and learning experiences designed for educators, administrators, and instructional designers.
