Call for Proposals – Teaching and Learning Conversations

Posted on

The Koehler Center for Teaching Excellence is offering stipends for leading Teaching and Learning Conversations during the regular academic semesters. These university-wide conversations will begin in the fall 2016 semester. While we accept proposals on a rolling basis, the space and funding is “first come, first served.” To ensure consideration for the 2016-2017 academic year, please apply by Friday, April 22, 2016.

These conversations may take different formats—directed discussions of new pedagogies, structured conversations about issues affecting higher education, or workshops to implement emerging teaching strategies—and we welcome submissions of all ideas from different disciplines. If you’ve been having interesting conversations about teaching in your home departments, consider bringing these ideas to the entire TCU community.

We know your time and knowledge is valuable, so faculty who direct a sponsored Teaching and Learning conversation (60 minutes), compose a short (700-900 word) article for The Koehler Center’s Insights Magazine, and agree to have their workshop filmed to create a 3-6 minute video will receive $200.00.

Find more information and apply on our Teaching and Learning Conversation page.
