TCU launches search for new Learning Management System

Posted on

After years of using eCollege, TCU is seeking a new learning management system (LMS) to best meet the growing needs of the University and its population.

The LMS will support the University’s instructional mission, for both its web-enhanced and distance learning courses. Additionally, as an institution-wide resource, the LMS will support collaborative research, service, and administrative groups within and beyond the university.

The majority of TCU’s LMS adoption is for web components to face-to-face classes. Additional growth for online delivery is anticipated to be minimal, as there is a desire to maintain class sizes and continue to comply with federal and state regulations for distance learning.

The search period will begin in Fall 2014 and continue through Fall 2015 when the decision on a new system is made.
