Budget & Financial Planning

The Budget Office is dedicated to serving academic and administrative units as a financial planning partner, providing the tools, knowledge, and analysis necessary for departments to support the University’s goals and initiatives. We assist University administration, department heads, and budget managers in the development of operating budgets and financial plans that are consistent with the University’s mission and vision. TCU Campus Store

The TCU Campus Store manages textbook orders through the Follett Discover link in TCU Online, allowing faculty to research and adopt course materials in one convenient place. Follett Discover can be used to adopt textbooks, check format availability, order desk copies, and research new titles. New faculty wishing to place textbook orders who do not have TCU Online access yet can submit requests to the bookstore at textbookadoptions@tcu.edu. Please contact the TCU Campus Store Textbook Department at 817-257-5987 for more information on ordering textbooks.

Campus Dining

In addition to the dining options near campus, there are dining establishments throughout campus. Use this map to find somewhere new to eat or see what is currently open. You can purchase an employee dining plan that gets you access into Market Square. Employee dining plan swipes do not expire. Contact Dining Services at 817-257-7283 or through this form.

Campus Life

Campus Life meets with students to assist in resolving issues that impede academic and/or personal success while at TCU. Campus Life Deans liaison with faculty and staff to provide assistance for students having difficulty; these struggles may be triggered by emergency situations, behavioral incidents, medical issues, and/or other concerns. The Campus Life staff is prepared to deal with critical incidents, crisis management, and also oversee university student discipline cases. Campus Recreation

Campus Recreation aims to promote lifelong wellness through quality recreation programs, services, and facilities that enhance the university experience through participation and leadership. Campus Recreation oversees a state-of-the-art facility including a dedicated weight room, over 65 cardio machines, basketball courts, volleyball courts, racquetball courts, an indoor rock climbing wall, and both an indoor and outdoor pool. Campus Shuttles, Parking, and Froggie Five-0 Escort Service

If you don’t know where you can park, check out this interactive map. Getting around campus can be easier when you use the campus shuttles, and there is a live map of the shuttles. If you are teaching at night and would like an escort to your car, call Froggie Five-0 at 817-257-5856.

Center for Instructional Services (CIS)

The Center for Instructional Services (CIS) is composed of two areas: Instructional Technology Support and Media Production Support Services. Instructional Technology Support provides assistance to faculty and adjuncts in the operation of classroom technology. Our focus includes the design, installation, and maintenance of classroom technology equipment, as well as providing equipment for checkout. Training and orientation in the proper utilization of classroom technology systems is available. Media Production Support Services provides a diverse range of services in video, audio, graphic, photographic, and digital production formats to facilitate the effective use of multimedia. Assistance is provided in the planning, design, and production of professional presentation materials for academic use. Our TV studio is available for A/V recording or for videoconferencing with class sizes of 25 or less. Center for International Studies

The Center for International Studies is responsible for managing much of the university’s international programming, both on and off campus. Our study abroad programs includes a diverse array of credit-bearing semester, summer, and short-term programs in 54 countries around the world. We work with faculty to develop summer and short-term programs abroad, as well as advise faculty on professional development and learning opportunities abroad. We do extensive advising for students on international opportunities and ask that you point all student questions on volunteering, interning, and studying abroad to us. Center for Writing

The William L. Adams Center for Writing serves the entire TCU community—faculty and staff as well as undergraduate and graduate students. Members of the Center for Writing staff are available for class presentations and workshops. Professional writing consultants also can advise faculty about designing writing assignments and responding to students’ writing. Located in Reed Hall 419, the Center for Writing is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday–Friday. For an appointment, use the Center’s online scheduling system or call 817-257-7221.

Center for Academic Services – Disability Services

The Center for Academic ServicesDisabilities Services (CAS-DS) is the office responsible for coordinating accommodations based upon a student’s disability. Students are responsible for requesting accommodations through the CAS-DS. Letters of accommodations are provided for qualified students to present and discuss in a private appointment with a faculty member. Child Care

TCU does not have an on-site child care facility for faculty and staff, but Human Resources offers the Camp Fire Child Care Network (CCN). CCN provides care for infants, pre-school, after school, and summer referrals. Compliance Training & Officers

TCU’s compliance functions are integrated into daily campus activities with compliance officers working within various units and departments. The role of compliance is to provide regulatory compliance support to the education, research, and service missions of TCU, along with facilitating collaboration, raising awareness, providing guidance, and addressing compliance concerns. TCU provides training about specific compliance issues. In addition, here are the names and contact information of all compliance officers and staff who are ready to assist faculty, staff, and students when issues or concerns arise. ​

Faculty Senate

The Faculty Senate is the representative body of the Faculty Assembly designed primarily to express the views of the teaching and research members of the faculty. Views may be expressed upon any matter affecting the University, including educational policies, degree requirements, curricula, questions of academic freedom, student-faculty relations, faculty-administration relations, and practices of the University. Facility Services

The office of Facility Services is responsible for the housekeeping of offices and classrooms. We are also responsible for moving furniture, delivering mail, and completing event setups on campus. Requests for the moving crew or requests to visit our off-campus surplus furniture warehouse should be sent to workorder-fs@tcu.edu. For housekeeping assistance, such as spills or accidents, please call 817-257-5116.

Financial Services

The Financial Services department has responsibility for financial reporting and controls, external and internal audits, general accounting, research accounting, tax accounting, fixed asset accounting, student loan accounting accounts payable, purchasing, student financial services, cashiering, and related software systems. You can find forms for reimbursements, lost receipts, travel advances, and more at our website. Financial Services is located in Sadler Hall. Contact us at 817-257-5016.

Health Center & Pharmacy

The Health Center on campus provides employees a couple of benefits. Employees can have their prescriptions filled at the Health Center’s pharmacy on campus, as well as purchase common over-the-counter items. In coordination with the nursing department, the Health Center also hosts an annual free flu shot clinic around mid-October. Be sure to bring your ID card with you. For your students, the Health Center provides clinical, counseling, and pharmacy services. While the Health Center may give students a proof-of-visit receipt, it does not excuse students from class. Honors College

The John V. Roach Honors College is dedicated to enriching the intellectual life of TCU by empowering, inspiring, and motivating high-achieving students to become ethical leaders in our global society. Human Resources

The Human Resources (HR) benefits page will help you in the selection process of a generous benefit package to all eligible employees through short, informative videos to help you understand your health benefit options. We also direct you to login to your Employee Self-Service profile at My.TCU.Edu in the “Employee Center” to verify your W-4 (currently: Single/0), W-2 information, update/change personal information, and set up Direct Deposit. ID Center

The ID Center issues the official ID card, which is a lifeline to all that takes place on campus. It is a key, photo ID, pass to the rec center, pass to special events, meal card, and debit card. Present your TCU ID card at the TCU bookstore and receive a 10% discount. The ID Center is located in the Brown Lupton University Union in suite 2033. Information Technology (IT)

The Information Technology (IT) department offers many services to the campus, including email, technology documentation, Box (cloud storage), purchasing and licenses (ex: Microsoft Office [free] and Adobe Creative Cloud  [$9.75/year]), My.TCU.Edu portal access, password resetting, and connecting your personal device to the TCU Wireless Network. Additionally, the IT Support HelpDesk serves as front-line support for computer related questions across campus. Search our Knowledgebase for answers or attend training events. Institutional Research

The Office of Institutional Research is the principle reporting office for official University data, produces the annual Fact Book and provides data support to departments, colleges, and administrative offices for reporting and policy making purposes. Institutional Research also administers the Student Perception of Teaching (SPOT) survey each semester. Contact us at 817-257-7793.

Leadership Center

The Leadership Center offers StrengthsQuest codes for faculty, staff, and students, and our campus has been nationally recognized by the Gallup organization as a StrengthsQuest-Based Campus. This assessment identifies talents within individuals, and our Strengths educators can walk you through how to use the assessments in your classroom and in your offices. Library

The Mary Couts Burnett Library has services, spaces, and resources specifically for faculty and adjuncts. We also have library liaisons for every major on campus: they can help you with your research needs, teach your students research skills, or just assist in helping you navigate through the physical library or library website. Here you will find basic information for new faculty, including links to your liaison. We also have specific resources for you or your classes held by the library that may be of interest, as well as more detailed information regarding faculty services and resources. New Media Writing Studio

The New Media Writing Studio (NMWS) aims to support all faculty members using digital tools in the classroom and beyond. Each semester, Studio staff offer a series of digital learning and teaching workshops. Studio staff are also available for individual consultations, delivering class tutorials, providing equipment loans, and holding open lab hours in the Studio computer lab. Police Department

The TCU Police Department provides police services on property owned and controlled by TCU 24 hours a day, and it provides patrol services via foot, bicycle, and vehicle. Crime prevention and investigative services are also available. The TCU Police, Parking and Transportation information can be found in the Faculty and Staff handbook. New Faculty and Staff should also visit Safety First for additional information about TCU Alert, Storm Shelters, and to Know What to Do in an Emergency. For emergencies, call 817-257-7777. Post Office

The TCU Post Office is located in the BLUU next to Chick-fil-A. We provide most postal services, plus you can ship packages via FedEx at a deeply discounted rate. The Post Office can accept pre-paid UPS and FedEx packages. We handle 131,000 incoming packages each year, and we are open some postal holidays that do not coincide with University holidays. We provide some free boxes to customers if we have them on hand. We are friendlier and quicker than the “real post office.” We laugh a lot, so we are fun to visit. Registrar

The Registrar’s Office provides a wealth of information to all faculty and staff. Take a moment to check out our website. As you will see, we provide many services, such as the Academic Calendar, Final Exam Calendar, Class Search (our online schedule of classes), PeopleSoft documentation (using the Faculty Center to access class rosters and contact your students), FERPA information (see FERPA Quick Reference Guide), classroom reservations for non-class events, the Undergraduate and Graduate catalogs, and more. Risk Management

The Risk Management department leads risk management initiatives in environmental affairs, occupational health and safety, emergency management, and business continuity.  We strive to prevent injuries from occurring while protecting TCU at the same time. You can find forms for accident reports, certificate of insurance, photographic release, student/participant releases, workers compensation, and more at our website. Technical Services

The Technical Services department manages TCU technology infrastructure and networks. This includes campus phones, wired, wireless, cellular networks, cable television, and printing services. We are committed to providing a reliable and secure technological environment for academic and administrative programs and services, all in support of the overall vision and mission of the University.
