Biography:

Romana (Romy) Hughes is the Assistant Provost of Educational Technology and Faculty Development; Director, Koehler Center for Instruction, Innovation, and Engagement. Her primary duties include oversight of the Koehler Center. Romy manages a robust, multi-faceted professional development program for full-time, adjunct faculty, and graduate assistants that supports teaching and learning; addresses the changing needs of students; integrates course design with student-centered learning; and pursues excellence in the use of technology in the learning environment by modeling effective uses of appropriate educational technology in the classroom. Romy has twenty-seven years of higher education experience that includes seventeen years in faculty development and ten years of teaching in higher education. Romy earned her graduate degree from TCU.
