Distance Learning Developer
Kate Marshall is the Distance Learning Developer in the Koehler Center for Instruction, Innovation, and Engagement. Kate began her career at TCU in 2010 and is a member of the training and support team for the university adopted LMS, TCU Online. Focusing on TCU Online, use of digital teaching tools, and instructional design, she works with students, faculty, and staff to enhance the teaching and learning experience at TCU. Kate has served as a resource for faculty and students in TCU’s SCAL classroom, providing both technical and pedagogical expertise. Kate also provides support for TCU’s compliance with state regulations concerning distance learning, internships, and practicums.
Kate has teaching experience in both higher education and secondary schools. She previously worked at the University of Texas at Arlington in the Center for Distance Education. Kate received her bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College, and holds both a master’s degree in political science and a Master in Teaching from the University of Washington.
