Critical thinking is considered a foundational concept of higher education, and yet there’s some debate among educators regarding the extent to which we really produce critical thinkers. We may design assignments that ask students to think critically, but is that the same as teaching critical thinking in an intentional way? In this workshop, we’ll introduce you to an interdisciplinary framework for teaching critical thinking intentionally and explicitly. We’ll then spend some time collaboratively developing methods and activities applicable to your own classes.
