Koehler Center Outcomes 1.1, 1.2, 1.4In an ideal classroom, students support each other in developing scientific writing skills. Yet, motivating students to become proficient scientific writers is a challenge educators commonly face. This workshop introduces a peer mentorship program educators can employ to motivate students to become proficient scientific writers and to train other students to do the same. The presenters designed a program encouraging students to learn APA format, grammar rules, and the importance of information literacy, including writing ethics. Attendees will receive access to scientific writing training modules they can provide to students via the TCU Online platform.
