The LearningStudio Gradebook is a powerful communication tool that gives instructors the ability to manage grades and report them to students in an online format. Located within your course shell toolbar, the gradebook contains a variety of helpful features including options for automatic calculations and weighted averages, posting both alpha and numeric grades, extra credit incorporation, options for automatic scoring of grades, and rubrics.
This workshop will provide a detailed tutorial that takes you step-by-step through the process of creating a gradebook and submitting student grades. Additionally, tips and tricks on grading solutions such as extra credit, participation emphasis, and dropped items will be discussed. Finally, you will be given the opportunity to work with the Koehler Center staff on creating your own online gradebook. No matter how you plan to use it, learn to make the LearningStudio gradebook work for you, not against you.
New features starting 2014: automatic scoring of grades, assign 0 to work not submitted, and Rubric building and assessing.
Prerequisite: Must have a LearningStudio course shell.
