Effective March 10, 2016, Texas Christian University has been approved by the State of Texas to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA).
What is SARA?
SARA (State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement) is a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education. SARA is an agreement among member states, districts, and territories that establishes comparable national standards for interstate offering of postsecondary distance education courses and programs. SARA does not supersede state laws governing institutions with a physical presence in the state.SARA makes it easier for students to take distance learning opportunities offered by postsecondary institutions based in another state.
